Remembering the victims of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi is also a way to fight against Genocide and its ideology-Hon. Stanislas Kamanzi

On 10th June 2011, the Ministry of Natural Resources (MINIRENA) and its agencies: Rwanda Natural Resources Board ( RNRB) and Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA),    visited Kigali Genocide memorial centre to pay tribute to the victims of 1994 Genocide against Tutsi.
The Ministry of Natural Resources took this initiative to value the victims of 1994 Genocide, said Kamanzi.
“Taking time like this, helps us to think how cruelly people have been deprived their life and made us recall what happened during 1994 Genocide against Tutsi”, Kamanzi highlighted.
The Minister of MINIRENA indicated that to keep upholding the truth of what happened is also to fight against those who deny Genocide and those who still have Genocide ideology.
They deny Genocide because they want undermining the truth. We have to fight against them by upholding the truth and preserving our dignity”, Kamanzi said.
Michael Biryabarema, The Deputy Director General in charge of Mines and Geology in RNRB said that: the memorial centre is a harsh but important reminder of the unspeakable atrocities that humans are capable of committing against one another.
It is an important place for all Rwandans, so we never forget what happened for our relatives and friends”, he said.
